WHAT WE DO

MISSIONS

GRPC supports several missionaries and missions organizations around the world through our Faith Promise program.

What is Faith Promise?

Faith Promise is how our church supports missions. Church members, not church leaders, are given the privilege to determine how much the church wants to give to missions for the upcoming year. Every year, each member is encouraged to fill out a Faith Promise card, specifying the amount they expect to give for missions in the following year, over and above their regular tithes and offerings.

The completed cards are anonymous and not binding on anyone. Members are instructed to write down an amount in faith, and then to watch and give as God provides during the year. The total amount from all the cards represents how much the congregation would like to give to missions.

Since we started Faith Promise over a decade ago, our donations to missions have increased dramatically.

What? The Great Jungle Journey – Every day, our kids are bombarded with questions: Did God really create everything? Why do bad things happen? Was Noah’s ark real? Why do I need to be saved? Can I trust the Bible?

At this VBS, your kids will explore the biblical answers to these questions as they set off on an epic adventure from Genesis to Revelation. Amid sloths, butterflies, river dolphins, and dart frogs, your children will sail along on a fun jungle cruise, stopping at seven ports of call.

These ports are the 7 C’s of History: Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross, and Consummation. Kids will discover how these events shape our world, and they will learn to reconnect the Bible to their everyday life. Prepare to swing into fun as we head out on The Great Jungle Journey!
